Ben Von Korff

MNSU Water Resources Center, MPCA

Ben Von Korff completed his M.S. in marine sciences in 2011, where he studied denitrification in tidal freshwater rivers. He worked as a chemist with the Department of Natural Resources until joining the MNSU Water Resources Center in 2014.

Ben is excited to contribute to monitoring and research to assist in understanding water quality issues in the Minnesota River Basin. Ben carries out monitoring for nutrients and sediments as part of the Watershed Pollutant Load Monitoring Network (Minnesota Pollution Control Agency). This data is invaluable to developing a long term record of water quality and pollutant loads in Minnesota, and for comparing regional differences in water quality throughout the state.

Other projects include monitoring the Mount Simon Aquifer, and monitoring for invasive carp barrier research.
